Terms and Conditions
Before you purchase please ensure you have read and fully understood our terms and conditions and are satisfied with the description of our products.
Joal Garden Buildings are designed for DIY assembly by two or more competent adults. Before assembly please ensure you have read the instructions and are familiar with the project you are about to undertake.
Any indication given in our website or literature as to the time required to assemble a product must be taken as approximate.
If you organise for a third party to assemble your building please ensure all parts have been delivered so that in the unlikely event any parts are missing, wrong or damaged, we have reasonable time to replace these parts before you confirm an assembly date with your third party.
Once assembled, timber products will continue to react to weather conditions due to the fibrous nature of the material. Wood is a natural product and all trees are individual. This can include colour differences, warping, shakes, splits, knots and knot holes. These are all part of the natural properties of timber. If you require a smoother finish you may wish to sand some of the timbers.
Except for the floor bearers, our buildings are not pressure treated and will have a planed, finished surface. Minor adjustments to sections of timber may still have to be undertaken on site. If any of the timbers are warped and prove difficult to assemble, then careful manipulation, such as light wetting, sensible weight application and slowly heating or cooling (over a few days) can overcome the majority of warping.
If you do not require a third party to assemble your building we shall deliver your order to your property. Please ensure there is somebody there all day on the day of delivery and who is capable of unloading the delivery vehicle and has the authority to accept the products.
If the building or any individual parts are delivered to you damaged please ask the delivery driver to bring the necessary items back for us to replace free of charge.
If you wish to return the building care has to be exercised to protect the products delivered. Any kiln dried timbers need to be protected against weather influences. Should we collect any kiln dried timbers that have not been protected and we subsequently have to send them away to a kiln for drying then any reasonable costs will be passed back to the customer.
The development and appearance of the natural properties of timber are not a reason for the return of goods.
A customer has the right to cancel any order for a building, (excluding bespoke and made to measure items). This right extends for seven days after the items have been delivered. Any notification of cancellation must be made in writing, either by post, fax or email.
Assuming that the products were as described and not faulty a refund will be granted less any reasonable charge for collection and any necessary repacking. Refunds will take place within a reasonable period of time after the items have been returned and inspected.
You can make your own arrangements to return your products to us. A goods return note must be issued by Joal Leisure and utilised for this method of return. Your Statutory rights are not affected.
Refunds may be subject to a fee covering any costs incurred by the company such as administration costs, card processing fees and any other costs associated with your order.
If the glass for a door or window is broken on delivery we will credit you up to £15 (receipt required) to have a new piece cut yourself. Alternatively, please advise the delivery driver to return the damaged item on your behalf.
